10 IMPORTANT THINGS TO “REMEMBER”

HERE ARE 10 THINGS FOR US TO BE REMINDED OF AND NEVER FORGET

18 QUESTIONS ABOUT PRAYER AND BIBLICAL ANSWERS

Prayer can be the cry for instant help as when Peter was sinking in the water and cried out, “Lord save me”. Or it can be as deep as Habakkuk when he cried out, “O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!” This booklet will consider some very practical questions that all of us have probably asked about prayer at one time.

105 TRUTHS ABOUT HEAVEN

Recently a dear brother in the Lord and a great friend of mine went to Heaven.  After a lengthy bout with cancer, he left us and is now enjoying being with Christ in his eternal home.  He is, “Home at last!” In my visits with him, especially in his last days on earth, I wanted so much to encourage him any way I could.  We certainly had some “glory times” in our personal visits. However, I wanted to do something more for him and his wife and family.  The Lord gave me the idea to just start at the beginning of the Bible and find as many references to heaven that I could find and pass them on to him.  When it was all done, my “white paper” on Heaven gave 105 things to me that I learned and also “re-learned”.  It was a joy to send these to them as I wrote them, a few at a time.  His wife would print them out and read them to him at the end of the day.

Many times, as I wrote these, I found myself to be more than a little jealous about what he was soon to experience.  Sometimes my heart almost burst with the thought of glory.

7 MILE BIBLE STUDY

“And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.” Luke 24:13-35

The Gospel of Luke tells us that the resurrected Jesus walked with two disciples as they went from Jerusalem to Emmaus on the third day after his death.  They were despondent about the loss of the Messiah because of his recent death on the cross.  Christ suddenly appeared to them and as they traveled, and on this road, he told them things about himself from the Scriptures, starting with Moses and all the prophets. What could Jesus have shared with them from all 39 books of the Old Testament?

It takes about 2 hours to walk the 7.4 miles from Jerusalem to Emmaus.  After doing a little math, I found that Jesus could have easily shared all the information in this booklet as they walked along.  Walking at a rather slow 15-minute mile and speaking at a medium speed of 150 words per minute, Jesus could have spoken all the words in this booklet in two hours.
